Sisters Addie and Nancy have shared a love of all things fabric since they were little girls. With the help of their mother and 4-H they learned clothing construction and how to make simple home-dec items. That love of sewing grew to include sewing for their children and grandchildren.
Quilting seemed to be a natural next step in their lives. With a collection of scraps ranging from cotton to denim to wool, quilts came into being. The simple scraps quilts soon turned into more intricate designs from fabrics chosen for each quilt.
In 2002 Addie made a major career change and opened J & A Stitches in Juneau, WI. It was the realization of a life long dream – to own her own business. Nancy’s long-arm quilting and custom embroidery business fell right in step with the quilt shop. Together they make quilts, table runners and wall hangings for display in the shop and at the more than twenty quilts shows where Addie is a vendor each year.
Nancy’s daughter, Rachel, joined her Mom and Aunt by designing a line of bright and colorful baby quilts. Rachel’s quilts and quilts designed by Nancy can be seem on the pattern page of this website.
