Use these directions as a guideline. Lay out the blocks in a way that is pleasing to you. I sashed the blocks with a 1″ (cut 1-1/2″) strips. The fill-in blocks are pieced as indicated on the quilt picture. They could be cut as a single piece of fabric rather than the squares and rectangles I used.
The first border is 1″ and made of the same fabric as the sashing. The outside border is 4″. My finished quilt is 38″x48″. To make a bigger quilt add another border or two.
The quilt here is drawn on EQ8. I will post a finished picture of the real quilt on Facebook as soon as I finish the binding.
This diagram shows the block placement on my quilt and the size I cut the pieces for the fill-in blocks. Add a little extra, and then trim the blocks to fit. Everyone’s seaming and cutting is a little different.
